Heart Surgery Patient Support Group

“One of the greatest gifts a person can give another is support.”

Heart to Heart is a heart surgery patient support program run by The Baird Institute, providing education and support to patients and their families, carers and friends.

The support group meets in Sydney approximately 3 times a year.  In addition we have a Facebook group for people who need or have had heart surgery and their families.

The Baird Institute’s mission is to foster research and apply science to improve the outcomes of patients facing heart or lung surgery. This program focuses upon the power of bringing people with heart disease together, to share their experiences and by so doing, to support one another pre and post-surgery.

Our Heart to Heart support group is not currently operational.  Please look back here from time to time for updates.

  1. Go to CrowdRaiser for The Baird Institute.
  2. Click on the button “Fundraise for this cause” – just under the header image.
  3. Create your Crowdraiser. Fill in the requested details.
  4. Customise your campaign. Add images and messages to make your CrowdRaiser unique.
  5. Share the link to your fundraising page via email, social media, or any way you like.
