Webinar: Cardiac Regeneration – Repairing Damaged Heart Tissue – Monday 24 August 2026

In this online webinar, Dr. Hume, Professor Lal and Professor Bannon provide an update on their continuing research at the Centre for Heart Failure and Diseases of the Aorta into cardiac regeneration; research which aims to repair damaged heart tissue. Once thought impossible, this research is gaining attention, with coverage in the Sydney Morning Herald and on 2GB Radio, highlighting results that challenge what textbooks say is possible. 

At The Baird Institute, we are exploring therapies that could amplify the heart’s natural ability to regrow after a heart attack and, in time, help reverse heart failure by allowing patients to regenerate their own hearts.

  5. Share the link to your fundraising page via email, social media, or any way you like.
